Anglers will once again be spoiled for choice at the Harding Bass Compo, which takes place on the 25th April 2026. Fishermen will have their choice of over 10-15 fully-stocked dams to fish from in the family-orientated event.

Tickets are R200 per adult and R100 for Junior (under 12).

On the day entry is R250 so we encourage you to enter online to speed things up.

Lines in: 6am. Lines up: 4pm. 

Friday night:
-Registration will be open from 4pm-6pm.
-Food (Braai packs, rolls and salad.) will be on sale for the campers and anyone arriving the night before.
-Anyone who knows the Harding country Club, knows it's always a good party.

Saturday:
-Registration from 5am. Tickets to fish will be on sale at the bar for 'latecomers'.
-Online entries: sign an indemnity form, collect your wristbands and map/rules booklet.
-Entering on the day: will be a separate queue. You will need to fill in your details, pay, sign an indemnity form, collect your wristbands and map/rules booklet.
-There will be no verbal briefing, all rules are on the printed booklet you will receive.
-Food will be on sale at the country club (egg and bacon rolls/ chicken prego rolls) throughout the day, so pop in on your way passed if you're changing dams!

Saturday Night:
-Prize giving at 5:30pm.
-Dinner: Vuur Uur: Righardt from Pretoria smoke off (Bisket Rolls etc)
-Music keeping the party going, although that doesn't take much in Harding. You're in for a treat!

Rules

• Only artificial lures to be used.

• Only live fish to be measured.

• All fish to be released immediately after weighing.

• All anglers to wear wrist band.

• The weigh- masters decision is final.

• Each angler must adhere to all rules of the competition and land owners. Failure will result in disqualification.

• Electric motors only.

• Dams are owned by private landowners- do not litter, be careful of irrigation etc.
